Why Cropping PNG Files Needs a PNG-Aware Tool
PNG is used for images that need sharp edges or a transparent background — logos, icons, UI screenshots, stickers and product cut-outs. Many quick editors and older versions of Windows Paint flatten the transparent areas to white or re-save the file in a lossy format, which is exactly what you do not want.
This cropper copies the selected pixels one-to-one into a new PNG. Semi-transparent edges, anti-aliasing and shadows stay exactly as they were, and the output keeps the original resolution, so a 2000 px logo stays sharp.
Exported logos often come with a wide transparent margin, which makes them look small and off-center when placed on a page.
